Terms of Sale, Returns and Refunds
Pattern Sales/Digital Files and Downloads
The ‘Buy On Payhip’ buttons on pattern listings currently redirect you to purchase the pattern via Payhip. I am currently in the process of updating my website to accommodate sales direct from me. However, because of tax complications, this will take me a minute to ensure I am adhering to country Laws. Tax on digital downloads is complicated and varies per country so I am still trying to get my head around it!
If you would prefer to purchase my patterns through Ravelry or Etsy instead, direct links to the pattern pages are provided in the listing.
PDF files are for your personal use only. Please do not share with friends and family or distribute freely. So much time and effort goes into designing and writing a pattern. I try my hardest to price as fairly as possible whilst still respecting the hard work that I put into creating them.
Refunds
Due to my patterns being supplied to you digitally, once they have been downloaded, I cannot offer a refund. If you purchase a pattern Through Payhip by mistake, I am happy to process a refund within 7 days of purchase if you have not yet downloaded the file. I can only monitor this on Payhip so can only offer this for sales through them. If you have any issues with your purchase, from downloading difficulties to trouble opening files, please contact me. I will try my best to rectify any issues you may be having.
Pattern Support
If you are experiencing issues with knitting any of my patterns, please do contact me for pattern support via my “contact me” page (or simply email [email protected]). I endeavour to reply as soon as practically possible. All of my patterns are tech edited and tested so are as technically correct as I can be comfortably sure of at the time of publishing. However, very occasionally things may have been missed so please get in touch. If any issues do arise, I will endeavour to push a pattern update file as soon as practically possible.
The Crafter’s File Sales/Other Physical Items
Great care and attention goes into insuring that my photos provide a true representation of the product. Please bear in mind that different screens and resolutions can affect the colours shown.
Shipping Information
In 99% of cases, I use Royal Mail to ship my items.
If an item is damaged in transit then please take photos of the packaging and condition on the items upon receipt. This will help me claim any damages from the delivery service. In the case of items damaged in transit I will do my best to try and match and replace the items damaged. However, due to the handmade nature of many of The Crafter’s File items, fabrics and embellishments may be unreplaceable. In this instance, I will be in contact to ensure a suitable replacement is negotiated. We can also discuss a refund if no suitable alternative is decided upon.
Return and Refund Criteria for Physical Items
I am a perfectionist and endeavour to only sell items that I am completely happy with. If for any reason an item does not meet your expectations please, please get in touch as soon as possible. You can contact me via my “contact me” page (or simply email [email protected]).
Returns and refunds will only by issued on faulty or damaged items. Unfortunately, I am currently unable to cover shipping costs for returns so please bear this in mind when purchasing. Once the item has been received and inspected, a refund will be issued.
Exchanges*
If, on receipt of your order and you change your mind it may be possible exchange it for a like-for-like item. Please contact me to discuss. The items received must be returned in their original condition. Once the return has been received and inspected I will contact you to arrange shipping of the replacement. The buyer will be responsible for all exchange shipping costs; both the return of unwanted item and the re-shipment of the replacement.
*I reserve the right to decline exchanges on custom ‘made to order items’ if there is a likeliness that I would struggle to resell the item due to any customisations applied.
